Working from Inns of Court Chambers in Brisbane’s CBD, Margaret Cassidy Mediations is supported with administrative arrangements including room hire, meeting invitations and document transmittal.
Mediations and arbitrations in Australian capital cities and regional locations are available by telephone, online, or in-person by arrangement.
Our approach
Initial Appraisal
Clients are provided with information outlining Margaret’s background, qualifications and experience.
Case Review
Following an initial appraisal, Margaret works with clients to set out steps most suited to dispute resolution depending on the facts and circumstances of each case. Guidance on how best to prepare for mediation or arbitration is issued to clients at this stage.
Arrangement of Mediation or abritration
With the clients’ agreement, Margaret Cassidy Mediations will arrange mediation or arbitration meetings and issue invitations to participants.
Working Towards Agreement
During the mediation or arbitration, Margaret will meet with each of the parties to understand their concerns in detail. Bringing all parties together, Margaret will then work with clients towards agreement. Carefully confirming the agreed outcome, Margaret will draft the Heads of Agreement and dispute resolution clauses for endorsement by the parties.
Arbitration
Margaret works with parties to reach agreement on directions necessary for the arbitration and set a timetable for the delivery of the directions, the arbitration and the delivery of the award.
Clients can expect efficient determination of the issues and final resolution of matters within 28 days of the arbitration hearing.
